Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Openlife AI Inc (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Truelabel website, applications, and related services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use the Service. By using the Service, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
We may collect the following types of information:
- Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and authentication credentials processed by our identity provider (for example, Firebase Authentication).
- Photos and scan data. When you scan a product, you may upload images of packaging or labels. We process those images to generate ingredient-related insights. We may store images and analysis results associated with your account.
- Payment information. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed by our third-party payment processor (Stripe). We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.
- Usage and technical data. We may collect device type, browser type, approximate region (from IP), and similar technical data to operate and secure the Service.
- Communications. If you contact us or submit feedback, we retain the content of your message and your contact details to respond.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- Authenticate users and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Process payments and manage subscriptions;
- Generate AI-assisted analyses of food products you choose to scan;
- Communicate with you about the Service or support requests;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Artificial intelligence
Analysis results may be produced using third-party AI models (for example, OpenAI). Images or text derived from your scans may be sent to those providers solely to generate responses for you. We do not use your data to train third-party models unless required by those providers' terms; please review their documentation for details. AI outputs are informational and may be incomplete or inaccurate.
5. Storage and service providers
We use reputable infrastructure providers (for example, cloud hosting and databases such as Firebase / Google Cloud, and Stripe for payments) to store data and deliver the Service. These providers process data under contractual safeguards and only as needed to operate the Service.
6. Cookies and local storage
We may use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and security. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit certain features.
7. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who assist us in operating the Service, when required by law, or to protect our rights and users' safety. We may share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
8. Data retention
We retain information as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data subject to legal retention requirements.
9. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through the Contact page or email searchtruelabel@gmail.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
11. California residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information as defined by the CCPA.
12. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will delete it.
13. International users
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate, which may have different data protection laws.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
