Pie Crust
by Cinemaware
A reasonably clean pie crust with simple, recognizable ingredients and no artificial additives. While refined flour and palm oil aren't optimal, the absence of trans fats and preservatives makes this a solid choice for occasional baking.
- Unbleached All Purpose Flour – safe · Refined wheat flour without chemical bleaching. Better than bleached flour but still lacks fiber and nutrients of whole grain.
- Malted Barley Flour – safe · Natural enzyme source that improves dough handling and texture. Contains beneficial enzymes and nutrients.
- Niacin – beneficial · Vitamin B3 added to fortify refined flour. Essential for metabolism and cardiovascular health.
- Reduced Iron – safe · Iron fortification to replace nutrients lost in flour refining. Well-tolerated form of iron supplementation.
